Pick the base job before the coordinate
A base cannot maximize flat building space, every resource, raid protection and travel convenience at once. Decide whether this slot is a starter workshop, a mining outpost, an oil facility, a scenic home or a raid staging area.
Visit the coordinate before dismantling anything. Check the Palbox footprint, resource nodes, station clearances and how large Pals turn around. A rich site can underperform when workers spend the day colliding with terrain.
Early and midgame choices
Golden Hills is easy to defend and clusters basic resources, but its tight footprint limits a sprawling factory. East of Investigator's Fork gives a flatter mixed-resource layout with less natural defense. The two Frostbound options trade build room against position between biomes.
When building on ore or coal, keep foundations and stations away from the node's respawn area. Covering the resource defeats the reason for choosing the site.
- Golden Hills
- 0, -524 · ore and forest; compact
- Investigator's Fork
- -162, -188 · ore, sulfur and hardwood nearby
- Frostbound south
- 189, -39 · ore, coal and wood
- Frostbound foot
- 249, 17 · cliff defense; tighter build
Oil and endgame production
Sakurajima is a strong oil-production compromise with nearby dungeon access, but it has no special natural raid protection. Land of Absolute Zero offers the broadest resource package and an exposed perimeter. Sunlit Isle concentrates crude oil and can be defended through geography, though ordinary ore must come from elsewhere.
Version 1.0.3 increased oil production speed and reduced the cost of oil infrastructure. That makes a dedicated oil slot more productive than older route comparisons imply.
- Sakurajima
- -645, 273 · oil with coal and sulfur
- Absolute Zero
- 141, 416 · oil, quartz, ore, coal, stone
- Sunlit Isle
- 405, -483 · six crude-oil nodes
Scenic and secluded choices
World Tree Entrance (-809, 683) is secluded and visually distinctive but offers little native resource value and limited terrain. Abandoned Ruins (-82, 190) is another defensive-looking option with few resources.
Treat claims that a location is completely raid-proof with caution. Terrain can make raids easier to funnel, and some players report locations where events do not reach cleanly, but that is not the same as a guaranteed no-raid flag.
Migration checklist
- 01
Place the new Palbox and verify the full boundary before moving production.
- 02
Build beds, food storage and one reachable workstation first.
- 03
Move a small worker group and watch pathing through a full day/night cycle.
- 04
Transfer rare materials only after storage and defenses are stable.
- 05
Keep the old base until the new site produces the resource that justified the move.
