Coal Locations and Coal Quarry in Palworld 1.0

Pick field mining or the Quarry

A field run solves today's Refined Ingot shortage. The Coal Quarry solves repeated shortages. Building a permanent resource base around old node maps is usually unnecessary once the current Quarry is available.

Palworld 1.0 moved the Coal Quarry to level 37. If a guide or search summary tells you level 41, check its date before planning the rest of the base.

Level 37 Coal Quarry

Mine a first Coal batch

1. 01

   Choose Twilight Dunes for the earlier trip or Deep Sand Dunes after the northeast desert is safe.

2. 02

   Identify Coal by its dark rock appearance and keep it separate from ordinary Ore in storage.

3. 03

   Use an appropriate pickaxe or a Pal capable of mining Coal-grade nodes.

4. 04

   Collect only enough for the next Refined Ingot or construction batch unless another desert task shares the route.

5. 05

   Return through fast travel rather than overloading the trip with unrelated heavy materials.

Move production to the level 37 Coal Quarry

1. 01

   Reach level 37 and unlock Coal Quarry from the Ancient Technology side of the tree.

2. 02

   Read the current build recipe in-game before gathering the final construction batch.

3. 03

   Place the Quarry on open ground with a direct worker entrance and nearby storage.

4. 04

   Assign strong Mining work and enough Transporting capacity to clear production.

5. 05

   Record the storage count, watch one cycle, and confirm Coal arrives before expanding other lines.

Fix a Coal line that looks idle

Treat the Quarry as a production chain: worker access, mining, pickup and storage must all complete. Adding more miners cannot fix a blocked entrance or missing transport route.
